 UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE 

Last Year, i had Student Competency Competition or we usually call it LKS for Vocational High School in the Bogor Regency area. I was appointed to take a part in cooking competition because my majors is TataBoga. One team consist of two people me and my friend Tiara. Three month before the competition we prepared the recipe,we have to made one Chocolate cake, One petit four, and one Sugar Showpiece so we thinked  what we going to cook and how is the design. And in the first month we got what we were going to make.

Next month we tried the recipe, and asked our teachers to assess whether this is enough or needs improvement. The first recipe we tried to make is Chocolate Crunchy Mousse Cake, Our teacher said the taste is good enough but it need more decoration to make it look pretier. We made it only 1 times because the ingridients is quiet expensive.

Already pasted from the first try, We made petit four. We named it dancing swan because it looks like swan with creamcheese filling. But when we tried it we give it lemon curd filling and my teacher said she doesn’t like it because it too sour and easly melted. So we made it with creamcheese and icing sugar and it taste so good im sure if you try it you gonna fall in love with it.

One month passed, this is the hardest thing we have to made Sugar Showpiece. We named it Blue Wave, first try it looks bad the colors and the wave is bad but our teacher trust us. We cannot make another one to try because the sugar is very expensive. I haven’t been in class for three month  i always in the kitchen and mini bar so i missed a lot of lessons. The last month we pripared the ingridients and take a break until the competition.

The competition was arrives, before i went to school i prepared manny things from my kitchen equipment and my uniform. I arrived at school and my heart beated so fast, especially when i looked at the other team they are looks ready. Our classmate cheer us up. They said “nervous is fine but you have to focus we knew both of you can do it!”. Then i went to the kitchen. We started at 9 in the morning and ended at 5 in the evening. When the judge started the competition, First thing that we did is made the cake and petit four. After that we took a break at 12 for lunch and pray, and started again at 1 O’clok.

Sugar Showpiece is the last thing we made. Because we cooked it in the pan and made it by hand and it so hot. We got a trouble but we can handle it, and my teachers was panic. At 5 in the evening the judged  time was come. And we WON! We are the champion i was happy that day because i went home with a bringht smile and my family really happy with what i did.
